The SEM-FIB Laboratory is a shared workplace of several faculties of CTU (laboratory members: FSv, FEL, FD ) and is intended exclusively for internal use within the university. Its main mission is to support research and educational activities at CTU, especially in doctoral and specialized study programs focusing on materials. The goal is to support excellent research and education in the field of microstructural analysis and characterization of materials.
Employees and students of member faculties have the opportunity to independently use the laboratory's instruments for their own research and teaching. In such a case, they must apply for the status of a trained user and complete training for working with a microscope (see Documents and instructions) and subsequently participate in covering the costs of the workplace. If you are interested in working independently with a microscope, please contact us via the e-mail of the laboratory administrator: Ing. Zdeněk Prošek, Ph.D. ; 📧 zdenek.prosek@fsv.cvut.cz; 📞+420731111277.
Interested parties from member faculties who are not or do not want to be trained users, but are interested in a one-time measurement on a microscope, can request paid services from an administrator who will perform the measurement within their capacity. Interested parties from other parts of CTU can also request paid services from an administrator who will perform the measurement within their capacity. In both cases, access is subject to free capacity and the consent of the laboratory head. A price list is announced for the payment of services covering the operating costs of the center (see Documents and instructions).
In case of further measurement requirements or interest in cooperation on a research or teaching project, please contact the head of the laboratory Prof. Ing. Jiří Němeček, Ph.D., DSc.; 📧 jiri.nemecek@fsv.cvut.cz; 📞+420224354309.
